The Lionesses roared to victory last night in a nail-biting penalty shootout that saw them triumph over Spain in the European Championship final – and it was Chloe Kelly again who scored the decisive goal.

Speaking after the match Chloe gushed that she was ‘so proud of this team, so grateful to wear this badge’ and ‘so proud to be English’.

The footballer, 27, who also famously scored the winner in England’s 2022 Euros final win over Germany, has consistently proved herself on the pitch, after first playing the sport at the age of seven with her five brothers.

But outside of the game, Chloe lives a somewhat glamorous life, enjoying lavish holidays, red carpet opportunities and designer clothes.

Prior to the Euros, the sportswoman showcased a sun-soaked trip on her Instagram page, showing off her enviable figure in a bright pink bikini.

She’s also previously delighted her 1.1million followers with glimpses of her holidays to Dubai, Ocean Beach Club in Ibiza and Paris.

When she’s not training on the pitch for England or for her local team of Arsenal, she also enjoys strutting her stuff on red carpets.

The footballer has proven a number of times that she knows how to dress to impress when attending glamorous occasions, such as the MTV EMAs, The BRIT Awards and GLAMOUR’s Women of the Year Awards.

Clearly a lover of designer fashion, with the sportswoman showcasing an array of upscale handbags on her social media page, Chloe has also attended British Vogue events and London Fashion Week.

Her plus one at these VIP occasions – which has included days out at Silverstone for the F1 British Grand Prix – is often her husband Scott Moore.

After more than five years together, the couple tied the knot at Merrydale Manor in Over Peover, Cheshire, on 24 July 2024.

Chloe and Scott, who is thought to work for a golf centre, first met each other at the Everton playing ground where they both worked at the time and have largely kept their romance out of the public eye.

The couple announced their engagement in December 2023. Over the festive period, Chloe took to Instagram to share the happy news after Scott got down on one knee in a romantic Northern Lights proposal in Iceland.

The footballer shared a snap as the pair wrapped up in the snow against the lit up green sky.

Showing off her diamond ring she posed with her hand on her fiancé’s chest as the couple beamed for the snap. She captioned the post: ‘The easiest YES. Here’s to forever with you’.

Chloe also shared a close up of the ring as she skated across the snow in a husky pulled sleigh.

The sportswoman was overwhelmed with heartfelt messages from her fellow teammates and celebrity pals as they swarmed the comments.

For her wedding day, Chloe opted for a Galia Lahav dress, a flowing gown complete with a high neck and embellished sleeves.

Her bridal look was finished off with a matching veil from the same brand along with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels and jewellery from London-based Bucherer Fine Jewellery.

Chloe, who typically keeps her makeup low-key on a day-to-day basis, opted for a glamorous look for the occasion, put together by celebrity makeup artist, Selina Bassi.

Hair stylist Michael Gray worked his magic on her hair, styling Chloe’s blonde tresses into a half updo style.

The England ace’s bridesmaids wore black silk dresses for the wedding, which was also attended by footballers Gabby George, Sandy Maciver and Mayumi Pacheco. White flowers lined the room where Chloe and Scott said ‘I do’.

A white aisle and warmly lit candles added to the whimsical setting, with French windows displaying the grounds of the Cheshire venue.

The footballer’s triplet brothers, Ryan, Jamie, and Martin, were three of Scott’s groomsmen, and her sister Paris was her maid of honour.

Before her wedding, Chloe revealed a glimpse into what her daily life is like, and stressed the importance of looking after her body.

Speaking in an interview with Glamour UK in 2022, she said: ‘I train my body to perform, not to look good. But looking good is always a bonus…

‘I think being able to perform at the highest level (involves) making sure I’m eating right, drinking right and sleeping well, as well as making sure I’m doing all my recovery possible to perform on the pitch.’

Chloe hails from humble beginnings as the youngest of seven children, whose first taste of football was playing with her five older brothers on a caged pitch on the Windmill Park Estate.

‘I don’t think there are many who came up playing in a cage,’ the 27-year-old has previously said.

‘I was always around the cage with the boys as soon as I was allowed, about the age of seven. My brothers included me even though they were older and playing with their friends.’

However she added her brothers certainly didn’t go easy on her because she was a girl

‘They were probably the ones telling everyone to hit me harder. Get used to it,’ she joked. ‘If I was on the floor, they would tell me to get up.’

Meanwhile, the Lionesses will celebrate their historic Euros victory with an open-top bus parade in central London and a trip to Downing Street, but there are no plans for a bank holiday.

England fans erupted with joy across the country as the team defended their Euros title in a penalty shootout win over Spain in the final in Basel, Switzerland, on Sunday.

Chloe scored the winning spot-kick following two huge saves from goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, sending supporters in fan zones into raptures.

The King said the team had the royal family’s ‘warmest appreciation and admiration’ following their victory, adding: ‘The next task is to bring home the World Cup in 2027 if you possibly can.’

The Downing Street reception on Monday is due to be hosted by Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner and sports minister Stephanie Peacock.

The team will then attend a homecoming celebration event on Tuesday, with a ceremony expected to take place outside Buckingham Palace.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer hailed the team’s triumph, saying: ‘The Lionesses have once again captured the hearts of the nation.

‘Their victory is not only a remarkable sporting achievement, but an inspiration for young people across the country.

‘It stands as a testament to the determination, resilience and unity that define this outstanding team.’

There will be an open-top bus parade along the Mall before the ceremony at the Queen Victoria Memorial, the FA said. Fans can attend for free and it will be broadcast live on BBC, ITV, and Sky.

However, it is understood Downing Street has no plans for a bank holiday to mark the Lionesses’ triumph.

Supporters stood on tables, waved flags, threw drinks in the air and excitedly hugged each other as England claimed victory, while the Prince of Wales and Sir Keir watched on from the stands in Basel.

Alessia Russo gave the Lionesses hope of retaining their Euros title with her second-half equaliser after Mariona Caldentey netted the opener for Spain in the 25th minute.

In a statement posted on X after the game, King Charles said: ‘This brings you, your manager and all your support team my most heartfelt congratulations on winning the Euros 2025.

‘For more years than I care to remember, England fans have sung that famous chant “football’s coming home”.

‘As you return home with the trophy you won at Wembley three years ago, it is a source of great pride that, through sporting skill and awesome teamwork, the Lionesses have made those words ring true.

‘For this, you have my whole family’s warmest appreciation and admiration.’

The King added: ‘More than that, though, you have shown through your example over past weeks that there are no setbacks so tough that defeat cannot be transformed into victory, even as the final whistle looms. Well done, Lionesses.’

A picture of the Prince of Wales with his arm around his daughter Princess Charlotte was posted to X following the presentation of the trophy to the Lionesses, with the caption ‘champions of Europe’.

The pair congratulated the team in a short statement, saying: ‘What a game! Lionesses, you are the champions of Europe and we couldn’t be prouder of the whole team. Enjoy this moment England.’

The statement was the first message Charlotte has personally signed on the Prince and Princess of Wales’s X account.

Sir Keir was the first to congratulate England on their win – posting on X: ‘Champions! Congratulations Lionesses – what a team. What a game. What drama.

‘You dug deep when it mattered most and you’ve made the nation proud. History makers.’

William was spotted in the stands applauding and celebrating with those around him – including Princess Charlotte.
